Limitation on Enrollment: Students must pass American Red Cross lifeguarding prerequisite skills.

This course provides entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over. Upon completion of the course students can earn certification through the American Red Cross in lifeguard training, first aid, Title 22, and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer.
