This course presents an in-depth study of the essential nutrients and their functions, and the chemical composition of foods and their utilization in the body. It includes discussion on the nutritional values of foods, current topics in nutrition and nutritional needs throughout the life cycle. The relationship between diet and diseases will also be covered.
