The course introduces a systematic methodology for analyzing business problems or opportunities, with a focus on leveraging intelligent systems. Students will learn to evaluate how intelligent, computer-based technologies-such as AI, machine learning, and data analytics-can support business needs and drive innovation. The course covers defining business requirements for these technology solutions, exploring alternative approaches to acquire necessary capabilities, and specifying requirements for intelligent information systems. Options include in-house development, collaboration with third-party providers, or adopting commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions, all with an emphasis on implementing intelligent, data-driven systems that enhance business decision-making, automation, and efficiency.
